The Printmaking Foundation Course provides a comprehensive introduction to various printing techniques, including screen printing, etching, stone lithography, and relief printing. Additionally, advanced techniques such as cyanotype, photo-gravure, and photo-screen printing are available for students to explore.
Over the course of three terms, students will have the opportunity to learn and master three of the listed printing methods. The class begins with an overview of the different printing techniques, followed by preparation and project planning based on the student’s personal inspiration.
Each term offers enough time for students to become proficient in one print process, allowing them to use the facilities independently and put their knowledge into practice as open-access members. With each student working on their own unique projects, the class is dynamic and engaging.
